You've got to love to hear it when Fred McLeod gets hyped about Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, because it probably means Boobie is on fire from behind the arc, something us Cavs fans were quite accustomed to last year, but hasn't happened too much this year. In a pre-game interview, Boobie acknowledged his shooting troubles, and said that he will play through it, and that this sort of thing happens to everyone, and that he would be fine.

Gibson's consistancy hasn't been there this season,
but things are looking better

Well on Boobie bobblehead night, Daniel broke on through to the other side adding 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting (3-4 from three point land) in 24 minutes. Boobie also added 3 assists, one of which was a nasty alleyoop lob to fellow young'n J.J. Hickson, who probably looked the best he has all year.

I love that Mike Brown is going back to J.J. after leaving him very few minutes over the last few weeks, cause the kid has promise. He's big, strong, long-reaching, and super athletic. With big Z on the bench, the Cavs really need J.J. to step up, especially with the showdown against the much-hated Celtics on the horizon. J.J. has the potential, but is still way too young to fulfill it. Watch him next time he messes up. His demeanor is extremely child-like. His long lanky arms swing low near his feet as he saunters back over to the bench, obviously upset with himself. J.J. will be a player when he can get his head in the game and keep it there. The time will come, and I hope the Cavaliers and Coach Brown are patient enough to allow it to happen.

As for LeBron, well, he's still LeBron and he is still the best player in the NBA, BAR NONE. Even Dick Vitale would choose LBJ to start his own NBA franchise, and rightfully so. The King came up with another effortless 21, 4, and 4 adding 2 blocks and 2 steals in just 31 minutes on his court. All I can say is that the Celtics have their work cut out for them this Friday against the Cavaliers, and this young man is hoping the Cavs can extend their home win streak to 19 and keep the Celtics' weak stuff out of here.
