As I was perusing through a mixture of Cavs fan sites and Cracked.com articles such as this gem explaining the antics of our dear elderly using science, I stumbled my browser onto TheAustinCarr.com counterpart site, TheFredMcLeod.com. No, this doesn’t exist (yet) but Fred does indeed have a blog I was unaware of. I apologize if readers were already aware of its presence. I’m assuming that no one else is aware based on the 1 rating for his most recent post. Unfortunately, Fred doesn’t use the same sentence structures and word choices in writing that have made AC and Fred the most unintentionally funny announcing crew in the NBA. About practice today in Chicago, Fred had this to say:
“After a video session, Mike Brown made this offer to cut practice early - make two halfcourt shots and it's back to the hotel (I figured this was a lock since Delonte had made back to back shots in Denver in a recent individual competition). Everyone shot one, including the coaching staff, the training staff, Mark Cashman - the equipment manager/traveling secretary - and Cobra front ironed it!!! All of us took a crack at it, 31 in all (don"t ask)! Director of Security, Marvin Cross nailed one (he's a long time hooper) and the place erupted. The guys hugged Marvin like he had just beaten the Lakers at the horn in June...
But the team needed one more...shot after shot came close...Boobie had one go half way down and pop out (but this offer only stood with two makes). Tarence Kinsey took Mike's shot...and he missed. Anderson finally nailed one, he said it was for "Z".

the half-court challenge reminded me of this awesome LeBron commercial

Maybe we can give Director of Security Marvin Cross Lorenzen Wright’s minutes (too harsh?). It seems like Mike Brown has created a practice atmosphere that the players really seem to be enjoying. Granted, at 30-6 and 19-0 at home, I’m not sure any coach in the league wouldn’t be having fun with his players at practice. The entire team constantly talks about how close-knit they all are, and I believe it starts with the coach. Not only has Mike Brown created a positive, fun atmosphere, but he has also pushed them to believe in his defensive system and they have responded brilliantly. I thought Andy’s comment that his made shot was “for Z” was especially hilarious. We’ve all known that Andy and Z are close since they were rumored to have gone to the Coldplay concert together in 2006. (No homo)

Speaking of the bench having fun, here is the most memorable moment from Donyell Marshall’s brief stint as a Cavalier… AC and Fred especially enjoyed this. Enjoy.
