This is where local left, Gene, complains about whatever he darn well pleases...

Gene:
After a 4th quarter Mo Williams 3 to pretty much seal the deal on defeating the suns…
Oliver: "You want a high five man"
Gene (shaking uncontrollably with his hands in the air): “No…. I'm just cringing from awesomeness”. It feels good to have an elite team.

Random Observations and General Ramblings (3/14)

  • Kings Game

    • This team is unreal, especially Lebron. How do you top 3 straight triple-double victories? How’s 51-9-4 in an OT win on a back-back at the end of a west coast road trip in which you already led your team to the best comeback of the year.
    • I’m pretty much at a loss for words after that…truly amazing!
    • Oh Yea…. THE CAVS WON THE CENTRAL DIVISION TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!
    • First time since Austin and Campy did it back in the 75-76’ season.
    • Fred almost broke into tears watching AC bask in the glory of finally being back atop the central division. CONGRATS to all who stuck with this great franchise through thick and thin.
    • There’s a reason he’s The KING… via ESPN “Quiet throughout much of the first quarter, James got going late in the period with the Cavaliers trailing 27-14. He scored 12 points in an amazing 1:34 stretch and finished the quarter with 16 points, helping Cleveland pull within 32-28 heading into the second.”
    • Besides Lebron, Andy deserves props for making every play that does not show up in the box score, including several in the 4th quarter and overtime. The last tip-out rebound with about a minute left crushed the kings and sealed the deal on an extraordinary road trip.
    • I’m sure there is more ranting and raving to do but I would rather sit back and enjoy watching the best team that I have ever had the pleasure to witness….Thank you Cavs… Keep up the good work!

    Suns game

      • Lebron has now won on every opposing court in the NBA….People he is only 24 years old!!!
      • Lbj recorded his 3rd straight triple-double. Can he possibly get any better?
      • Over the course of those 3 games he is averaging 22pts-12ast-11rb…and the Cavs are 3-0
      • Mo was spectacular from the get-go and did not let up. When asked during an in-game interview how he got off to a fast start, mo had to restrain from mentioning that steve nash doesn’t play a lick of defense.
      • Sasha played a real solid game…If he could just find a way to play that well more consistently, he could really be dangerous come playoff time.
      • Delonte’s Fro was awesome. Too bad his hustle and desire get him so beat up… luckily his injury wasn’t worse.
      • Speaking of hustle and desire….how could we not mention LBJ’s sick block on J-Rich. As stated by TAC.com’s own Wally Leb, “That has to be the first ever rejection of a 360 dunk”…If any NBA team has not received the memo, here it is: Lebron will come from behind and swat ANYTHING. Let all looking to finish around the hoop beware.
      • If anyone working at TNT is reading this than listen up….Reggie Miller is AWEFUL. I expect a former NBA All-Star to bring something insightful to the table. Reggie- stop trying to be funny and start tell me something I don’t know.
      • Whoever said that Lebron would not get the 3 boards he needed for the triple-double obviously does not know how closely LBJ watches his stats. I’m thinking it might have been you czar.
      • I must apologize to Campy Russell beforehand because he is the man, but the TNT post-game crew just has more flare.
      • One last stat to prove that we are better than boston (even though we all know it’s no contest) courtesy of mark Cuban at blogmaverick.com- The Cavs have to play 4 games in 5 nights 3 times compared to the celts zero.

      Latest Article:

I was thinking today of how spoiled of a basketball fan I am. I was lucky enough to see the last few years of Michael Jordan's career, and I'm lucky enough to see the entire career of one LeBron James. Now, by the time LeBron's career is over, I most likely will be able to say I saw both of the two best ballers of all time; or at least two of the top five. With that being said, I'm going to take a bit of a different train of thought here...

Z quickly lost his hair, but never his shot.

In Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ first NBA game he scored 16 points and collected 16 rebounds in a losing effort against the Houston Rockets and their superstar center Hakeem Olajuwon.
